The accommodations on Tobacco Caye are not upscale, but are rather basic, yet comfortable. Rooms do not have televisions, phones or other luxuries many have come to expect, but this is typical of small remote islands. When  traveling to a destination like this very little time is spent indoors, so deluxe accommodations are not necessary. Air conditioning is also not necessary because the sea breeze and cooler evening temperatures make for ideal weather most of the year. As such Tobacco Caye is an ideal destination for the budget conscious traveler. If you require air conditioning or pillow cases that match your bed sheets, this may not be the place for you.
